FABRIC LABEL Application Instructions

 

 

Fabric Labels are suitable for most iron able fabrics, providing directions are as follows:  (fabric labels can also be stitched on but should first be ironed to set the ink. Sewing is recommended for non-iron fabrics or to ensure permanent attachment to the garment.   Ink may not hold fast when used with some bleaches and sterilizing solutions).

 

Successful application depends on
DRY HEAT
TIME
PRESSURE

 

 

 

1.                 trim around corners

2.                 set iron to wool / cotton (NB the heat domestic irons vary - test for ideal heat setting)

3.                 place thin fabric or brown paper over label

4.                 press firmly while gliding iron over label for 10+ seconds

5.                 allow to cool and check edges are well bonded

6.                 if not well bonded, repeat above instructions

7.                 clear glue must be visible around edges of label

8.                 if labels lift in the wash, reapply the label concentrating on melting the glue in that particular area.


For maximum effectiveness, wait 48 hours before immersing label in water.
